Lannie Harold Granger

Lannie Harold Granger, 76, was born on Aug. 11, 1949, and went to his heavenly home on May 1, 2026. He was born in Hazlehurst, the youngest of seven children to Wright and Velma Granger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wright and Velma Granger; sisters, Dale Walker and Geraldine McCardle; brothers, James Granger, Alvin Granger, and Michael Granger; daughter, Shandi Granger; stepson, Jeramy Ott; and grandson, Micha Chad Granger.

He is survived by his sons, Jason Granger (Mandy), Chris Granger (Amanda), and Josh Granger (Melanie); 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Farmer Clary (Sammy); sisters-in-law, Ruth Granger and Peggy Granger; a special cousin and lifelong best friend, Stanley Granger.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Mississippi Army National Guard. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads and Indian artifacts. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to staff at Pinecrest Guest Home for the care given to him while he was there.

Visitation will be held at Bethel Baptist Church at 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 on Saturday, May 9.  Stringer Family Funeral Service in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
