Bluegill and Redear Sunfish stocked into Lake Tangipahoa

JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau stocked 175,000 bluegill and 75,000 redear sunfish into Lake Tangipahoa on Wednesday, July 9.  Lake Tangipahoa is located in Percy Quin State Park near McComb.  The lake was closed and drained in 2012 after the levee was damaged following Hurricane Isaac.         “The…
