Carolyn Marie Taylor Smith, 36, of Oma, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007.
Services were held Sunday, Dec. 2, from St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Oma, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Richard Drummonds officiated. Hazlehurst Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 29, 1970 to Mattie Mae Taylor and Frank Taylor. She joined St. James at an early age, then moved to Baton Rouge, LA where she married Phillip Abram. She later married Carl Smith and was a member of Morning Star M. B. Church. In December of 2004 she moved back home where she joined St. James.
Survivors include: husband, Carl Smith; mother, Mattie Taylor; sons, Lenard Taylor, Jerode Taylor and Phillip Abram; sister, Vera (Shelby) Cleve; and brothers, Freddie (Sharron) Taylor, Jerry (Bertha) Taylor, all of Oma.
