Lola Mae Brister
Lola Mae Brister, 98, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at her home.
Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst. Services will be 10am Friday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Brister was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church. She had lived in Hazlehurst for over 80 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Brister, sons, Kenneth Brister and Charles Ray Brister; three grandchildren, Kenny, Ricky, and Debra Jean, and one great grandchildren, Amy.
Survivors include: son, Benny Brister of Wesson, daughters, Frances Furlow Jackson, Ann Spurlock of Lavonia GA, Jean Stegall of Terry, and Billie Jo Young of Jackson; brother, Harry Rutledge of Hazlehurst; sisters, Blanche Cheroni of Hazlehurst and Dorene McAlpin of Crystal Springs; 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.
