Lela Faye Thornhill Hamilton

Lela Faye Thornhill Hamilton, 71, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Pine Crest Guest Home in Hazlehurst.

Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1 from Springhill United Pentecostal Church in Wesson with interment in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Lawrence County on July 23, 1938, to Pink James and Dottie Fuller Thornhill. She had been employed by Kellwood Factory and was a member of Springhill United Pentecostal church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Survivors include: her husband, Alvin Monroe Hamilton of Wesson; sons, Randy Hamilton, Mike Hamilton, Bennie Ray Hamilton, Gary Hamilton and Dwayne Hamilton; daughters, Glenda Roberts, Yvonne Cupstid and Lesa Williams; brothers, James Thornhill and Gene Thornhill; sister, Barbara Ervin; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
