Samuel Worrell Allred

Samuel Worrell Allred, 75, of Crystal Springs, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 2pm Thursday, January 28,  from Stringer Family Chapel with graveside services at 3:30pm at McBride Cemetery in McBride, MS.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. McBride was a native of Pearl.  He grew up in McBride, MS.  He graduated from Mississippi State and Jackson School of Law.  He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He worked for the Mississippi State Tax Commission..  Later he went into the retail business and during his later career he operated the Captiol Home Health Agency for 17 years before retiring.  He had lived in Crystal Springs since 1994.

Mr. Allred was preceded in death by a brother, William Allred preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife Ethel Abbott Allred; daughters, Lela A. Brister of Milton, FL, Greta A. Hatten and Tanya K. Allred both of Crystal Springs; brothers, Pat Allred of Farmerville, LA, Mike Allred of Jackson; grandchildren, Ginny Hatten, Cassy Hatten, Jacob Hatten, Sara Brister, Annie Brister-Boyer; and great grandchild, Corinne Boyer.
