Visitation will be 1pm-2pm Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 2pm Wednesday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Rosemont Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Betty was born on January 13, 1930 in Pascagoula, MS and spent many years of her adult life in Rankin and Copiah Counties. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and well known for her extensive flower gardens. She was a very supportive wife who attended numerous official functions with her husband. A long-time member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, Betty portrayed grace, beauty, and peace. She leaves a legacy of loving memories to her children and grand children.She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Herbert Ray Holloway, and her parents, Lee Owen Rouse and Rosalia Tackett, and her brothers, Elton Rouse, John I. Rouse, and Vernon O. Rouse. She is survived by her sister, Delores Thompson of Marlow, OK and her four daughters, Lynda R. Dutton (Rick), Wanda Jean Denson (Rick), Donna Gail Porter, Joy Susan Willis (Tim) and her son, H. R. Holloway, Jr. (Roberta). She will be sorely missed by her 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
