Violet Thornton
Violet O’Grady Thornton, 92, of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her residence.
Visitation will be 1pm-2pm Saturday at St. John Catholic Church. Services will be 2pm Saturday at St. John Catholic Church with burial at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Violet was born in Boyle, Ireland on May 26, 1920. She came to the United States in 1945 and lived in Crystal Springs ever since.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George W. Thornton, Jr. and three sons, David, Richard and George III. She had ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
