Edith Merle Letchworth

Edith Merle Wooten Letchworth, 92, died Feb. 11, 2013.

Visitation will be Wed. Feb. 13, from 6 until 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Wesson. Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Zion Hill Church with burial in Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge.

She was born Dec. 7, 1920, to Joseph C. and Louanna McBride Hamilton. She was a member of Zion Hill and worked at Potter Company.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Bennie D. Wooten and Woodrow “Shorty” Letchworth; parents, six brothers and five sisters and one granddaughter.

Survivors include: sons, Jimmy Wooten and wife Minnie of Wesson, Bennie C. Wooten of Magee, and Kenneth R. “Fuzz” Wooten and wife “Nancy” of Brookhaven; daughters, Alice Merle Malley of Magee; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
