James H. Williams Jr.

James H. Williams Jr., 80, passed away Aug. 7, 2021. A graveside service was held Aug. 14 at St. Peter Rescue Mission Cemetery in Hazlehurst. Hazlehurst Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
James was born May 3, 1941, in Hazlehurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hugh Williams Sr. and Catherine Shannon Williams; and siblings, Charles Williams, Bernice Catchings, Jimmy Ray Williams, and Lee Vern Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Lee Williams, of Hazlehurst; children, Patricia Fuller, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Gwendolyn Williams, of Alexandria, Va.; James Darren Williams, of Mobile, Ala.; Stacey Williams, of Lillington, N.C.; Yalonda Powell, of Hazlehurst; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Earl Williams, Willie Williams, Arthur Williams, all of Hazlehurst; Don Williams, of Moss Point; George Williams, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and sisters, Rosie B. Price, Carrie Jackson, both of Biloxi; Betty Sorrell, Climer Faye Williams, both of Hazlehurst; and Gloria Banks, of Dallas, Texas.
