Billie McDonald
Billie C. McDonald, 86, of Crystal Springs, passed away on July 24, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1940, in Terry to Drewey and Lillie May McDonald as the youngest of seven children.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, in the Stringer Family Chapel, with interment to follow at Harmony Cemetery.
Billie was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs and was a proud Mason. He spent 50-plus years as a truck driver all over the United States while maintaining a perfect driving record. Though a man of few words, he could talk for hours about his love of trucking. He also enjoyed spending time on his tractor and square dancing. Above all else, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life
He is survived by his wife, Monta McDonald; son, Anthony Eady and wife, Kären; adopted son, Billy Robbins and wife, Gail; grandchildren, Eric Eady and wife, Erin, Wayne Eady and wife, Eileen, and Kristi Colwell and husband, Jonathan; and his great-grandchildren, Katelyn Eady, Kelsie Eady, River Dunn, Jet Dunn, Brynlee Colwell, Tanner Colwell, Ember Eady, Logan Eady, Hunter Eady, and Reese Eady.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and son, Mark Eady.
