Forget the games – come to RRF

The wait is over, and the 2015 Rockin’ Railroad Festival presented by the Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce is here.  It’s this Saturday in downtown Hazlehurst along the Hidalgo Memorial Park & Pavilion and Hazlehurst Depot area on Ragsdale Ave. and Green Street.

Make every effort to attend.  Spend time in the Depot voting in the children’s art contest.  Enjoy the talent show and the various demonstrations going on.  Take the kids to the kid zone for a while.  Eat festival food from one of the food vendors.  Vote on your favorite classic cars and bikes.  Listen to and enjoy the various genres of music throughout the day. 

Most of all, spend a while visiting with folks you know and friends you haven’t made yet.  This is an annual event that is free to attend and for your community.  Many volunteers work behind the scenes to raise funds, plan and put on this event every year so everyone can enjoy it.  The best thanks you can give them is by attending and having a good time. 

So, skip the game or record it for later. Get down to and ‘get down’ in downtown Hazlehurst on Saturday.
